Texas Photo Renovators have a lot in the works right now. From restoring damaged photos without charge for those effected by the storms to setting up an outreach program for schools around the nation.
We would like to have a pool of donations so we can start printing at no cost to the survivors, maybe even framing for them. Also continue the community outreach we did with the wonderful young adults in San Antonio we worked with through Adobe Students. I personally have been contacted by several schools around the country wanting to get involved and are working on setting a program up with them, travel is expensive though and I would like to be able to go and visit each class room so I can personally teach and talk to these kids.
Also making sure we the internet stays up and running and having enough storage for the photos, right now we have a 3 TB NAS drive, but I am thinking that will fill up soon. Those cost money as well, and we definitely are not doing this for the money. My car right now sounds like a lawn mower when it gets cold outside, so if I can’t fix that I won’t be able to afford getting a new hard drive or faster internet connection when needed.
Any extra funds will go to making sure the volunteer restoration artists have what they need to complete the job at hand with great quality.
Thank you for letting me ask you for donations and feel free to ask any questions you may have. We want to be able to expand this volunteer endeavor globally one day, doesn’t matter where you are, as long as you need our help we will be there. That’s what we want to be able to do.
